Across - Ai Needs A CONTRACT Senior Hybrid Designer

Across AI, Inc., an SF-based enterprise Agentic AI for Sales company, is seeking a talented and experienced hybrid design (interaction & visual) contractor to create intuitive and engaging user experiences for our Desktop  and mobile applications. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and a proven track record of delivering high-quality interaction designs. 

The contract role is remote-friendly, although the product team is based in San Francisco and Vancouver, so must be able to participate in recurring biweekly design reviews in Pacific timezone’s morning hours (9-11a). Team is very nimble, fast-moving, and actively refining its new product with customers. 

Time is expected to be roughly 20 hours per week. Future increase in number of hours and potential for full-time conversion possible depending on both individual’s and company’s performance. Rate commensurate with experience. 

Responsibilities:

Core Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed interaction flows, wireframes, and prototypes for enterprise app

• Collaborate with design, research, product managers and engineers to translate requirements into effective design solutions

• Produce artifacts for user research and usability testing to validate design concepts.

• Create and maintain design system documentation, including interaction specifications and style guides

• Ensure consistency and adherence to design and accessibility standards across all app platforms

• Iterate on designs based on user feedback, business priorities, and technical constraints

Requirements:

What You Bring to the Table:

• 5-10 years proven experience in enterprise apps and/or systems design for Web & mobile platforms

• Respectful and excellent communication and collaboration skills… we are a small team running towards a long-term goal, so we need teammates that work well together and bring up (not tear down) the culture

• Proficiency in design tools such as Figma

• Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and usability best practices  

• Active communication with the team during contract hours 

• A strong portfolio demonstrating interaction design expertise

Preferences: 

• Experience with Salesforce & other SaaS Sales software 

• Overlap with US/Pacific timezone ability to collaborate occasionally in the SF Bay area  

• Experience prototyping your solutions (whether in Figma or beyond)
