Catbird is looking for a Merchandise Assistant to support merchandising and planning for our third party designer jewelry, home, gifts and beauty categories. The ideal candidate will be able to manage a large, diverse product catalog and vendor matrix in a fast-paced dynamic environment. This position is full-time and hybrid remote/onsite at our Brooklyn Navy Yard HQ.

\n- Work with Senior Buyer to project and actualize sales, receipts, and other key metrics
- Create, edit, and administer stock POs
- Work with Merchandise Coordinator to track incoming receipts and invoices
- Review by store stock to sales and administer transfer orders
- Partner with Web Warehouse and Inventory teams on stock discrepancies
- Reporting Prepare regular reports and update key business tools (weekly, as needed)
- Assist with ad-hoc reporting
- Product Assist with vendor communication re product, pricing, lead times, production issues
- Manage SKU creation, compile necessary information for website listings, and manage stock availability for new product launches
- Manage product information catalog and dissemination of product knowledge
- E-commerce product photography: coordinate with the Art Department and vendors on sample needs and shoot dates
- Assist with the maintenance of product listings, site categories, and gift guides
- Partner with Retail team on store or customer requests/inquiries
- Administer transfer orders for new store openings
- GeneralProvide support for department initiatives and projects
- Represent Merchandising in interdepartmental efforts as necessary
- 2-3+ years in merchandising, buying and/or planningAdept at learning new platforms and systems.
- Excel and Google Sheets proficiency required.
