Job Purpose
Weâre seeking a talented individual to join our Business Tax team in Manchester, which is responsible for providing tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of business clients.

This role will provide tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of business clients. You will be dealing with all matters relating to managing a portfolio of clients.
A key part of the role requires the individual to actively seek, and keep the Partner informed about any new business opportunities arising at existing and new clients.
As Assistant Manager your responsibilities will include among others
Key Responsibilities
- Relationship and key stakeholder management with ability to manage a portfolio of complex cases from both an advisory and compliance perspective.
- Management and development of staff with the ability to mentor junior staff and provide performance appraisals
- Compliance work including; ensuring procedures are followed taking account of institute and HMRC guidance, where relevant
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you should have:
- Substantial corporate tax experience gained within the professional services sector
- Demonstrable experience in providing tax advice  to clients on complex tax matters
- Ability to manage and coach others
- Interest in growing business development skills
Professional Qualifications and Education
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CA) and/or tax advisor (CTA) or international equivalent.
