About the role 

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will support the Manager in all aspects of managing the department, ensuring efficient operations, and leading the team to achieve company goals. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication, and the ability to make strategic decisions. 

Responsibilities include successfully managing complex accounts and processes including bankruptcy, legal, deceased, total loss & physical damage claims, impounds, and other Specialized Services management. 

This position does the following in accordance with all applicable Federal, State and local laws / regulations and the Company’s policies, procedures and guidelines: 

  

Key Responsibilities 

Primary Accountabilities:

  • Assists Manager whenever necessary in daily operations and manages department in Manager’s absence. 

  • Oversee team performance, provide guidance, and support staff development. 

  • Work with Manager to ensure resources are directed to the priority areas based on trending activity. 

  • Ensure all company policies and procedures are followed. 

  • Assist with development and conducting staff training and performs cross training as necessary. 

  • Maintain and update job aids for the department as well as review policy and procedures for required changes. 

  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly and professionally. 

  • Work as the point of contact on issues escalated by the teams and follow up with management when required. 

  • Assist management in responses to exam and audit request. 

  • Monitor scheduling/adherence for the team. 

  • Perform other duties as assigned. 

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise 

  •  High school diploma or equivalent 

  • 3-5 years of experience working in collections, litigation, bankruptcy, insurance or impounds 

  •  Strong knowledge of federal regulations and regulatory compliance 

  •  Experience with drafting and filing legal documents 

  •  Prior experience negotiating with impound vendors, borrowers, etc. preferred 

  •  Understanding of legal procedures and process

  •  Excellent written, verbal communication and listening skills. 

  •  Ability to give and receive feedback to drive individual, team and organizational performance. 

  •  Ability to interact and work cooperatively with customers, managers, and co-workers and other involved parties in a professional, courteous manner. 

  •  Demonstrated ability to lead, engage, and inspire teams. 

  •  Demonstrates initiative, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. 

  •  Ability to think analytically and make data driven decisions. 

  • Skilled with PC and Microsoft Operating Systems software. 

 

Location 

This position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere that suits you best! While you’ll primarily work from home, you are always welcome to visit our office in Irving, TX, whenever you choose. We encourage our remote team members to stay connected through regular virtual meetings and team events. All team members must reside in one of our approved locations by their start date, ensuring you remain part of our collaborative community. 

 

Compensation 

For this role our salary range is $37,600 to $47,000 depending on relevant experience. This role will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on both company and individual performance.
