How will you make an impact in this role?
Digital acquisition is one of Amexâs top priorities. Core to delivering on this priority are card and banking application and onboarding experiences that enable our customers to apply for our products with the least amount of effort, wherever and however they choose to apply. In addition to an enormous emphasis on users and usability, our team is responsible for ensuring that we attract and engage the right prospects and fit them with the right products that serve their needs.
We are looking for a passionate, talented, and adaptable strategic thought leader to help power the growth of profitable prospect acquisitions at American Express while delivering the intelligence to prioritize customer needs. In this role, you will engage and collaborate with various teams across marketing, analytics, tech and product to help drive the anti-gaming and offer decisioning strategy of the new in-application experience. You will be responsible for executing on the Card & Offer Decision Engineâs platform vision, enhancing cross-functional product roadmaps, and build strong relationships with key internal stakeholders.
As a Senior Associate Product Manager, you will:
- Contribute to the Card & Offer Decision Engine product strategy and execution.
- Work closely with partners and stakeholders to create/maintain a feature backlog and gather product requirements that align with business goals.
- Author high quality user stories with robust acceptance criteria and adequate documentation.
- Assist in the prioritization of features/user stories through iteration planning thus creating clear sprint/increment goals and product release plans.
- Take part in delivery of features as they progress through the development lifecycle, mitigating impediments, conducting user acceptance testing and tracking completion against sprint/increment goals.
- Analyze product performance metrics and experience data/analytics to identify and quantify opportunity areas.
- Develop a keen understanding of the broader prospect acquisition customer experience and its impact on the Card & Offer Decision Engine.
- Embed operating excellence and data governance in our products and ways or working.
- Keep up to date with industry, competitor, and new trends.
You should have the following skills and qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Product Management/Development.
- Passion for creating best-in-class products and experiences with a customer-first mindset.
- Ability to build, maintain and prioritize a product backlog.
- Ability to effectively adapt under changing task priorities and in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly organized, critical thinker with a strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills. Able to simplify complex ideas, navigate cross-functional teams and build relationships, influence decisions, and deliver on shared objectives.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and processes to identify creative solutions and drive incremental improvement.
- Driven, curious and diligent problem solver with a willingness to learn, challenge the status quo and collaborate to make an impact.
- Experience in matrix organizations and cross-functional environments.
- Experience with SAFe Agile software development and collaboration tools such as Rally Software, Atlassian Suite, and Slack.
- Bachelorâs Degree.Â
Salary Range: $60,000.00 to $110,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
