Assistant Account Executive, Beauty MediaÂ
BPCM is looking for talented candidates to join our growing NY Beauty team as an Assistant Account Executive, Beauty Media. The ideal candidate will have solid internship experience within an agency or in-house Beauty department, but we will consider other candidates with relevant experience.Â
Â
Responsibilities will be (but are not limited to):Â
Â
Media RelationsÂ
- Manage core day-to-day media relations alongside the rest of the teamÂ
- Assist in securing print, online and broadcast placements for clients as directed by senior team membersÂ
- Start developing relationships with junior-level editorsÂ
- Participate in strategic brainstorming sessions with the internal client teamÂ
- Plan and actualize PR events alongside the team (Brand/Product Launches, Editor Meetings, Store Openings, Fashion Week etc.)Â
- Create and maintain beauty awards tracking grid and submissionsÂ
- Conduct research on relevant new outlets and industry trendsÂ
Â
Mailings/ProductsÂ
- Conduct/organize all editor mailings in conjunction with mailing houseÂ
- Track social media for posts and/or manage tracking platformsÂ
- Assemble mailing recaps with key metrics and KPIs Â
- Help with influencer outreach and sendouts in office, as neededÂ
Â
ReportingÂ
- Create/ update press credit analysis in conjunction with CisionÂ
- Track and monitor secured press for your accounts and distribute to team in a timely mannerÂ
- Scan credits immediately and send to team and work with BPCM social media team to release to publicÂ
- Share determined press results in real-time Â
- Ensure press results are captured in weekly, monthly, yearly reportsÂ
- Responsible for online tracking/digital analysis for applicable clients Â
Â
Writing/InterviewsÂ
- Help with press releases (writing/distribution)Â
- Help coordinate and review interviews for accuracy Â
- Assist in drafting interview responses as necessary Â
Â
Admin supportÂ
- Update media and occasionally influencer list with contact moves and send on a monthly basisÂ
- Weekly press coverage updates, where applicable (to be sent weekly on Fridays)Â
- UPS/Messengering products, ensure accuracy in coding and client billing as well as presentationÂ
- Place product orders and help Beauty Logistics Manager as needed to manage storage closetÂ
- Editor birthday gifts and list compilationÂ
- Editor gifting Â
- Ordering supplies such as bags, tissue paper, folders, etc.Â
- Client and spokespeople travel needsÂ
- Assist with scheduling external and internal calls Â
- Support team with additional scheduling or organizational needsÂ
Desired Skills & Experience:Â
- Previous experience in an internship within an agency or in-house Beauty department, or in a related field such as general communications, marketing, or journalismÂ
- A true interest in beauty and the beauty industryÂ
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationshipsÂ
- Problem-solving and solution-oriented with a proactive attitudeÂ
- Proficient computer skills i.e., Power Point, Excel and Word (to intermediate level)Â
- Basic knowledge of Muck Rack and openness to learn other industry tracking toolsÂ

The anticipated salary range for this position is $40,000 - $43,000 annually. Actual compensation is based on a range of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location. Whether a prospective employee will be paid within the compensation range listed above will depend on a number of factors including but not limited to the candidate's depth of experience and qualifications; the level of specialization the role requires; budgetary considerations, and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based.
