Remote School-Based Braillist in Colorado Location: Virtual (Colorado-based) Position Type: Part-time, 20 hours per week Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and qualified Remote Braillist to support students in a Colorado school district. This virtual position involves transcribing educational materials into Braille, ensuring accessibility for visually impaired students, and collaborating with teachers and other support staff to provide an inclusive learning environment. You do not need to live in the state to apply, you need a license in the state you currently live in and the state of Colorado to be eligible. Responsibilities: ? Decipher educational content, including textbooks, assignments, and classroom materials, into Braille. ? Work closely with teachers, Special Education staff, and other professionals to ensure students? needs are met. ? Offer Braille-related accommodations for students during assessments and assignments. ? Uphold confidentiality and adhere to district guidelines and deadlines. Qualifications: ? Certification in Braille transcription or equivalent experience. ? Proven experience working with visually impaired students in an educational setting (preferred). ?
