Forbes Best-in-State Employer Property Claims Associate Trainee | Remote PRIMARY PURPOSE: To assist with processing first party property contents claims. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS And RESPONSIBILITIES ? Learning claims process through assisting the team working towards becoming proficient and licensed at which time there may be opportunity for growth to manage own claims. ? Assist with processing personal line property claims and ensures claim files are properly documented and coded correctly based on the policy. ? Maintains action plans to ensure state required contact deadlines are met and to move the file towards prompt and appropriate resolution; escalates issues as needed. ? Communicates claim action/processing with insured, client and agent or broker when appropriate. ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONS And RESPONSIBILITIES ? Performs other duties as assigned. ? Supports the organization's quality program(s). ? Travels as required. Qualifications Education & Licensing ? High school diploma or GED required. ? Designated Home State All Lines License to be obtained within 9 months of employment. Sedgwick will cover the cost of study materials and first 3 attempts. Experience ? Experience in a fast paced environment, multitasking, working with different databases, and typing skills. ? Claims industry or General Office experience preferred. Skills & Knowledge ? Oral and written communication skills ? PC literate, including Microsoft Office products ? Strong organizational skills ? Good interpersonal skills ? Good negotiation skills ? Ability to work in a virtual team environment ?
