Weâre looking for an experienced and innovative Email Designer to join the team. In this role, youâll be responsible for designing and building visually compelling, high-converting email campaigns and automations for our roster of e-commerce clients. Youâll work alongside strategists, copywriters, and developers to bring brand visions to life and elevate the customer experience through thoughtful, conversion-driven design.
Responsibilities:
- Design and build high-performing email templates for promotions, product launches, cart abandonment, loyalty programs, and lifecycle automations.
- Own the creative execution for all email marketing campaigns â from concept through final build.
- Code pixel-perfect, responsive HTML emails optimized for all major email clients and devices.
- Collaborate closely with CRM, growth marketing, product, and creative teams to align email designs with brand strategy and campaign goals.
- Execute A/B testing strategies for design elements, CTAs, layout variations, and personalization to maximize click-through and conversion rates.
- Manage and maintain a modular email design system and reusable components for efficiency and scalability.
- Ensure all emails adhere to deliverability best practices, legal compliance (e.g., CAN-SPAM, GDPR), and accessibility standards (ADA).
- Analyze campaign performance data to optimize design decisions and contribute to post-campaign reporting.
- Stay on top of e-commerce trends, competitor strategies, and industry benchmarks for email engagement.
- 4+ years of hands-on email design and development experience in a fast-paced e-commerce or DTC (Direct-to-Consumer) environment.
- Mastery of email design principles and responsive HTML/CSS coding for email.
- Proficiency with major ESPs (e.g., Klaviyo, Braze, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Iterable) and experience working within template builders and custom coding.
- Strong portfolio showcasing e-commerce email campaigns and flows (welcome series, abandoned cart, post-purchase, winback, etc.).
- Advanced proficiency in design tools like Figma, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, XD), and/or Sketch.
- Deep understanding of customer journey mapping and retention marketing strategies.
- Experience with personalization, dynamic content blocks, and customer segmentation.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.
