The U.S. Consumer Services Team is responsible for our suite of consumer products, services, and experiences in the U.S., including our premium, cobrand, cash back, and lending portfolios, Membership Rewards, Global Travel & Lifestyle Services, the Centurion Lounge network, our Global Dining and Resy businesses, U.S. Consumer Banking, and best-in-class marketing programs across customer, prospect, and partner channels. The U.S. Consumer Marketing team (USCM) is part of the US Consumer Services Group and is responsible for making membership essential by creating and delivering world class marketing for our differentiated products and services that drives demand and inspires engaged card members across the customer lifecycle.
The Vice President of Digital and Direct Marketing sits within the Prospect & Key Platforms organization, leading the growth and management of U.S. Consumerâs proprietary marketing channels (Amex.com, Direct Mail, Member Get Member, Phone/Chat). They will lead a team of dynamic marketers, responsible for driving strong acquisition performance and elevated customer experiences.
WHAT YOUâLL DO
- Lead a team of high performing marketing professionals responsible for all aspects of performance marketing â strategy, creative development, targeting & segmentation, KPI tracking, R&D initiatives, and operational excellence oversight.
- Deliver the transformation of key channels through the enablement of best-in-class digital experiences and a robust test & learn program, in close partnership with Digital Product, Risk, Card Product, Analytics, Global Servicing, and Legal/Compliance.
- Create multi-year channel strategies to transform prospect marketing in an evolving consumer landscape.
- Provide thought leadership to premium-ize our merchandising approach across digital and offline channels.
- Oversee investment forecasting and budget management for respective channels, including liaising with the Investment Strategy and Finance to deliver efficient growth.
- Be an advocate for control management, delivering on our customer promise to âdo it the right wayâ.
WHO YOU ARE
- A strategic thinker who has creative instincts and a proven track record developing marketing strategies that drive business outcomes and compelling customer experiences
- Strong relationship management skills required, with proven ability to influence & negotiate
- Strong commercial acumen, with proven ability to strategically assess opportunities and make data driven decisions resulting in tangible results
- Proven ability to take calculated risks, think boldly, challenge the status quo while ensuring flawless execution
- Comfort with ambiguity and a rapidly changing dynamic environment
- A highly effective communicator with strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills that allows for the clear articulation of strategy and ideas
- Proven track record of developing strong talent and building diverse teams

Salary Range: $185,000.00 to $260,000.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
