Overview
We’re looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented Promotions & Pricing Analyst to take ownership of our Amazon deal strategy and execution. This role is ideal for someone with a data science or analytics background who enjoys using numbers to drive performance and optimize systems. You’ll lead the charge in identifying patterns, managing pricing accuracy, and ensuring our top products are consistently and strategically promoted on Amazon.

Key Responsibilities

Amazon Deal Optimization & Management

  • Own and manage Lightning Deals and Best Deals on Amazon.
  • Leverage data to prioritize Best Deals over Lightning Deals for long-term value.
  • Set inventory thresholds using historical data and forecasting to avoid early deal terminations.
  • Analyze post-deal performance to refine promotional strategies.

Promotional Planning & Forecasting

  • Build and maintain a forward-looking deal calendar for the top 20 parent ASINs and new product launches.
  • Use predictive analytics to recommend optimal timing, product selection, and discount levels.
  • Identify eligibility constraints using historical promo data and Amazon's rules.

Pricing Strategy & Data Integrity

  • Conduct regular audits of Amazon listings to resolve pricing discrepancies.
  • Monitor Amazon MAP thresholds and flag at-risk ASINs.
  • Maintain a pricing restrictions tracker and analyze root causes and corrective actions.

Major Events & Cross-Team Strategy

  • Partner with the SAS Manager to plan and execute key events (Prime Day, Black Friday, Cyber Monday).
  • Coordinate with the advertising team to layer PPC and paid media support around major deals.

Inventory Coordination

  • Use sales velocity and lead-time data to optimize stock levels during promos.
  • Forecast deal-driven demand and work with stakeholders (Renjo and Mich) to prevent stockouts on key ASINs.

Promotions & Conversion Strategy

  • Analyze performance of coupons, tiered promos, and percentage-off deals.
  • Test pricing hypotheses around elasticity, bundling, and promo stacking to improve conversion and basket size.

ASIN Eligibility Tracking

  • Maintain a dynamic ASIN eligibility database.
  • Use analytics to surface the top 50 under-leveraged ASINs and flag them for promotional opportunities.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical mindset with a passion for data-driven problem solving.
  • Proficient in Excel/Google Sheets, or SQL
  • Experience with e-commerce platforms, particularly Amazon.
    • Bonus if you’ve worked on promotions or pricing strategies.
  • Detail-oriented, process-driven, and capable of strategic thinking.
  • Effective in cross-functional environments, with strong collaboration skills across inventory, advertising, and marketing teams.
