Theâ¯Account Developmentâ¯Client Engagementâ¯Managerâ¯is a telephone-based position responsibleâ¯forâ¯theâ¯engagementâ¯ofâ¯identifiedâ¯customers.â¯The manager willâ¯manageâ¯relationshipsâ¯by partneringâ¯closely with risk, underwriting, merchant servicesâ¯and Marketingâ¯toâ¯provideâ¯solutions for customers.â¯â¯â¯Â
This positionâ¯is responsible forâ¯treatingâ¯a customer baseâ¯andâ¯will be fluid based on where we see the biggest opportunitiesâ¯based on data analyticsâ¯(part portfolio management + partâ¯monthlyâ¯customer actions).â¯â¯â¯Â

Job Responsibilitiesâ¯Â
Planningâ¯(20% of time)â¯â¯Â
- Effectively manage aâ¯list ofâ¯prioritizedâ¯customers with anâ¯existingâ¯American Expressâ¯Business/Corporateâ¯program where anâ¯engagementâ¯opportunity has beenâ¯identified
- Meet minimum expectations forâ¯Formulaâ¯Forâ¯Successâ¯(FFS), which is a set number of calls, customer meetings and other productivity metrics
Client Solutionâ¯(80% of time)â¯â¯Â
- High levelâ¯of Financial Fluency and understanding of theâ¯underwriting andâ¯risk process. Must be ableâ¯toâ¯drive results through creativeâ¯problem solving
- Partner closely with risk,â¯underwritingâ¯and GMNSâ¯toâ¯identifyâ¯andâ¯developâ¯solutions for customersâ¯based onâ¯customerâ¯needs
- Use consultative skillsâ¯toâ¯retainâ¯customer relationship andâ¯charge volumeâ¯â¯
- Maintainâ¯a high levelâ¯of knowledge about American Express products, processes (Underwriting, Line Increase, Customer Financials, Pricing, Contract), key internal partners (Risk,â¯UWA,â¯PPI) and tools (ONE.force, C360)â¯
- Partner with Field Dedicated Portfolio Account Development team when a telephone-managed customerâ¯requiresâ¯a face-to-face visitâ¯â¯Â

Salary Range: $80,000.00 to $155,000.00 annually + bonus + benefits
